Tips and Information for the Bridal Couple
The Ice Cathedral is within walking distance, approximately 150 metres from the car park by the main entrance to the Winter Park.
The distance between Hunderfossen Hotel and the Ice Cathedral is 550 metres.
Toilets are located between the Fairytale Castle and the Ice Cathedral.
Often, the bride is not meant to be seen before the ceremony. In this case, it is common for the groom to first wait in the foyer of the Fairytale Grotto together with his best man, before joining the guests inside the cathedral.
The temperature inside the Ice Cathedral is between -3 and -7 degrees Celsius. The bride should wear warm clothing over or under her wedding dress, as well as a warm jacket or cape. Warm winter shoes are recommended — as wedding dresses are often long, winter footwear will usually not be visible. The groom should also wear a winter jacket and winter shoes. Gloves or mittens are also a good idea, as bare hands can get very cold over time.
Please allow enough time for photos afterwards, as this can easily take around 1.5 hours.

We work with trusted partners for flowers, photography, hair styling and wedding cakes.
A sound and lighting technician is included in the price. They will manage the sound if you choose to play music from Spotify or have live music.
We have excellent experience with various instruments being played in the cathedral, such as wind instruments, fiddle, guitar and more.
We have a warm room where instruments can be stored until the ceremony.
We recommend arranging a meeting with the officiant and your contact person the evening before the ceremony, so that you can go through the programme and details for the day. Your witnesses or attendants may also be present at this meeting.
