Tips for wedding guests

The Ice Cathedral is within walking distance, approximately 150 metres from the car park by the main entrance to the Winter Park. Guests with reduced mobility may be driven all the way up to the cathedral by prior arrangement.

A parking fee applies, and cars may be left there until the following day.

Toilets are located between the Fairytale Castle and the Ice Cathedral.

The temperature inside the Ice Cathedral is between -3 and -7 degrees Celsius. As a guest, you will be spending some time inside the Ice Cathedral, so it is important to dress warmly. Warm winter shoes are recommended. Gloves or mittens are also a good idea, as bare hands can get very cold over time.

You will be seated comfortably and warmly on reindeer hides, and we will provide blankets for those who need a little extra warmth.

The ceremony lasts approximately 30 minutes, although this may vary depending on what the bridal couple wishes to include in the ceremony.

White rice may be thrown over the bridal couple. Confetti, whether coloured or not, is not permitted.

Guests can visit attractions while the bridal couple is having their photos taken. The type of attraction and price are agreed in advance.

The distance from Hunderfossen Hotel to the Ice Cathedral is approximately 550 metres.

The distance from the Ice Cathedral to Trollsalen is approximately 150 metres.

Gifts may be taken up to Trollsalen before the ceremony.
